Dr. Ditkoff has worked as a full-time physician at CNY Fertility Center in Albany since 2012. He is also an attending at Bellevue Woman's Center, a service of Ellis Medicine. Since 2015, Dr. Ditkoff has been a consultant attending and clinical assistant professor with the Department of OB/GYN at Albany Medical Center. Most recently, in 2018, he was named a New York Top Doctor.
Dr. Ditkoff is a highly trained reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist who specializes in all aspects of assisted reproductive technology including IVF, ovulation induction, infertility surgeries (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy) treatment of hormonal disorders, male infertility, polycystic ovaries, and use of donor eggs and gestational carriers.
Dr. Ditkoff previously worked on the attending staff in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for Greenwich Hospital between 2010 to 2012, which was affiliated with Yale and NYU School of Medicine, and previously affiliated with Lawrence Hospital at New York-Presbyterian Hospital from 2008 to 2012, Lenox Hill Hospital with Northwell Health from 2006 to 2011, and Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester from 1998 to 2012. Likewise, he has held the positions of clinical assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University School of Medicine from 2010 to 2012, on the medical board for the Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester from 2009 to 2010, as an attending physician with New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center from 1992 to 1997, as assistant professor at Columbia University from 1992 to 1997, and as the Medical Director of the Division of Assisted Reproduction for New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center from 1992 to 1995. He completed his residency with a faculty appointment as an assistant in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the School of Medicine & Health Sciences for The George Washington University from 1987 to 1990, was also a resident at Albany Medical Center from 1986 to 1987, and at Brookdale Medical Center from 1985 to 1986.
Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Ditkoff pursued an education at Herricks High School, graduating in 1977. He followed this with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1981 at Emory University where he was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Upsilon Honor Society. In 1985, Dr. Ditkoff concluded his studies at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University, earning a Doctor of Medicine. The son of a physician, Dr. Ditkoff chose a career in medicine to help people.
A diplomate of the National Board of Examiners in 1986, Dr. Ditkoff has been board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1993. He has also been board certified in the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility since 1995, and has been recertified annually by each board from 2000 to 2018. Presently, Dr. Ditkoff has an active license to practice medicine and surgery in New York and Florida, and was previously licensed to practice in California, Connecticut, and the District of Columbia.
Dr. Ditkoff has also contributed to numerous endeavors in his professional circles. He was affiliated with the NYU Fertility Center at the Greenwich Hospital with the Greenwich Fertility and IVF Center P.C. from 2010 to 2012. He also held multiple positions including faculty advisor in 2000 and lecturer from 1997 to 1998 while at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center as an assistant professor from 1992 to 1997, and associate member of the Scientific Program Committee for the SGI Annual Meeting from 1996 to 1997. Furthermore, he served on the Conscious Sedation Committee for New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center in 1995. Dr. Ditkoff was also active with Scarsdale Public Schools from 2004 to 2007 while he served on the Health Education Committee. Finally, Dr. Ditkoff spent the earlier part of his career at Advanced Fertility Services, P.C. from 1997 to 2010 as co-director.
Dr. Ditkoff found further success with his written works, having consulted on such professional journals as Gynecology Oncology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Journal of Reproductive Medicine, the Journal of Ultrasonography, and the Journal of Fertility and Sterility. He also wrote chapters for books, including "Management of Ectopic Pregnancy," and authored articles for the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Fertility and Sterility, Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, Assisted Reproduction Reviews, and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. Furthermore, he penned abstracts for various presentation proceedings, and was an invited lecturer for multiple conferences in his field.
Dr. Ditkoff is a current member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and was a member of the New York Reproductive Society of Medicine and the New York Metropolitan Embryologist Society until 2012 when he relocated to Albany. While residing in Westchester, Dr. Ditkoff held several roles with the Westchester OB/GYN Society, including secretary-treasurer from 1999 to 2000, vice president from 2000 to 2001, president from 2001 to 2002, and council member from 2003 to 2007.
In light of his exceptional undertakings, Dr. Ditkoff has accrued several accolades and honors throughout his career. A Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1994, he did his fellowship as a Clinical Fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology at the Los Angeles County Women's Hospital at the Keck School of Medicine of USC from 1990 to 1992. Dr. Ditkoff was selected for inclusion in many editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and Who's Who in the World.
He has been married to Patricia Marie Hansen since 1988. They have two daughters, Rebecca, a dietician, and Erica, a resident in urology. He enjoys photography, traveling, and deep sea fishing in his free time.
