With more than 10 years of professional experience, Dr. Choi has been the assistant general manager of the process operation team at Hanmi Healthcare and Hanmi IT since 2010. In this role, he focuses on service quality, logistics standardization, and RFID based pharmaceutical logistics. Prior to obtaining his current position, he was a senior researcher with the National Logistics Standardization Research Corps of the Korea Railroad Research Institute from 2008 to 2009. Dr. Choi holds a number of patents and industry standards for pharmaceutical applications, including management system for medicine and product data. Also, from 2007 to 2014, Dr. Choi conducted national research projects supported by Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) in Korea.
Dr. Choi began his career in the Republic of Korea Army, serving from 1994 to 1996. He then studied at Kyonggi University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1999. He continued his studies with the school, completing a Master of Science in industrial engineering in 2001. Dr. Choi concluded his formal education at Kyonggi University with a Doctor of Philosophy in industrial engineering in 2008.
A respected voice in the field, Dr. Choi has served as a lecturer with numerous institutions, including Kyonggi University, Suwon Science College, Kyungwon College, and Jeonju University. He has also been a lecturer with Osan University, Chodang University and Kimpo College.
An active member of his community, Dr. Choi has been affiliated with several professional organizations in his areas of expertise. He is a member of the Korean Society for Quality Management, the Society of Korea Industrial and Systems Engineering, and the Korean Society of Business Venturing. In addition, he has been active with the Korea Productivity Association and the Korea Society of Computer and Information.
Throughout his career, Dr. Choi has been recognized for his contributions. The Korea Society of Computer and Information has twice honored him with a Best Paper Award, the Korean Statistical Society gave him a Poster Paper Award, and he received a Best Paper Award from the Society of Korea Industrial and Systems Engineering. Dr. Choi has also been awarded a Worldwide Lifetime Achievement by Marquis Who's Who.
