Furthermore, she has served on the Committee and Subcommittee for Off-Track Wagering in California for the California Horse Racing Board since 1975. Previously, Ms. Pais held the positions of director and organizer of stockholder relations for Hollywood Park, Inc., from 1978 to 1982, founding president of Standardbred Owners of California from 1977 to 1978, and founding president of the Golden Bear Raceway from 1975 to 1977.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Pais pursued an education at the University of Toronto, completing coursework from 1956 to 1961. She continued her academic efforts with coursework at the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1981. She concluded her studies at UCLA in 1982, attending extension courses for property management and public speaking. Following these accomplishments, Ms. Pais became licensed as a notary in the State of California in 2017.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Pais has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She has maintained involvement as an associate member of the Committee for Off-Track Wagering in California for the California Horse Racing Board since 1983, on the board of directors for the Associates at Santa Monica College since 1982, and as an associate of Pepperdine University since 1980. She has also held the roles of director and secretary for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica from 1978 to 1980, advisory council member for the Race Track Industry Program at the University of Arizona, and volunteer and consultant for multiple political campaigns. Likewise, she was active with the City of Santa Monica, CA, as parks and recreation commissioner from 1977 to 1979 and citizens advisory committee member in 1976. In addition to her primary trade, Ms. Pais remains affiliated with Santa Monica.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Pais has accrued several accolades and honors throughout her impressive career. She has been recognized as a Kentucky Colonel, as well as an inductee in the Cowboy Hall of Fame by the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. She has additionally received awards from the City of Santa Monica in 1977 and 1979. She has been selected for inclusion in many editions of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.
