Prior to this appointment, she was the administrative manager of travel stores for Shirley Oil and Supply Company with Dixie Truckers from 1983 to 1991. Ms. Beeler began her career with Dixie Truckers as a gift buyer from 1967 to 1980 and manager of their Tuscola, IL, location from 1978 to 1980.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Beeler pursued an education at Illinois Wesleyan University, completing undergraduate coursework from 1946 to 1948. She continued her academic efforts from 1962 to 1975 with coursework at Illinois State University, concluding her studies in 1991 at the Ray College of Design with a Degree in Interior Design. Ms. Beeler is licensed as an interior designer by the State of Illinois.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Beeler has participated in numerous endeavors in her professional circles. She was the owner and designer for Creative Interiors from 1987 to 2008, Republican precinct committeewoman for McLean, IL, from 1960 to 1976, board of visitors member for Illinois Wesleyan University in 1980, trustee for Wesley United Methodist since 1986, and vice chair of Wesley United Methodist in 1989. She further contributed to the Greenways Advisory Committee for McLean County, IL, in 1999, the Centrillio Council for the Girl Scouts of the USA from 1990 to 1991, and the board of directors of the YWCA from 1980 to 1985, during which time she was the treasurer of the board from 1983 to 1985. Likewise, Ms. Beeler served the Route 66 Association as a member since 1990, on the board of directors since 1994, and on the Hall of Fame committee from 1991 to 2003.
In addition to her primary trade, Ms. Beeler remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise, including the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Furthermore, Ms. Beeler was formerly a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, Sigma Kappa, and the Illinois Wesleyan University Alumni Association.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Beeler has accrued several accolades and honors throughout her impressive career. She was recognized by the Ray College of Design with a First Place Honor for the Design 2 for Kitchen and an Honorable Mention for Most Creative Use of Space in Arrangement.
Charlotte Beeler has been married to Charles G. Beeler since February 12, 1949. They have three children, Judy Kjellander, Mark Beeler and David Beeler.
Ms. Beeler was selected for inclusion in many editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the Midwest, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.
