Ms. Chirico-Elkins is the author of poems like "Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled," "Springtime," "Universal Truth," "Unending Love," "Omnipotence," and "Falling Snow." The International Library of Poetry published her poem 'Michelangelo's Creation of Adam' in their ''Showcase Edition A Celebration of Poets."
Known in her community for her civic involvement, Ms. Chirico-Elkins volunteered to establish the church library at Calvary Church. She previously served Samaritan Hospice as a literary volunteer, and in a number of fundraisers and projects in Toms River, NJ. Ms. Chirico-Elkins is an honorary board member of the American Indian Education Foundation and a distinguished member of the International Society of Poets.
In recognition of her excellent writing, Ms. Chirico-Elkins earned the title Poet of the Year for her poem "Freedom of Spirit listed "On the Wings of Angels," which she presented at Poetryfest, hosted by the Institute of Advanced Poetry Studies in Ashland, OR. She is also featured in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.
