Dr. Kim concluded his studies at Yonsei University in 2004, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in marketing channels.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Dr. Kim has participated in numerous endeavors in his professional circles. He found success with his written works, having contributed articles to such journals as the Journal of Distribution and Management Research, the Journal of Marketing Studies, the Korean Management Consulting Review, the Korean Journal of Business Administration, and the Korea Journal of Marketing. He has also coauthored such books as "Distribution Trap" in 2017, "Consumer Oriented Distribution Management" in 2015, "Basic Knowledges of Distribution Practices" in 2014, "Franchise Development" in 2012, "Marketing Channels" in 2009, and "Franchise System Management" in 2008. Furthermore, Dr. Kim completed service as a corporal in the Tactical Intelligence Department for the 56th Division of the Republic of Korea Army.
In addition to his primary trade, Dr. Kim remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He has maintained involvement as the director of the Korean Marketing Association and the Korea Distribution Association in 2018. Likewise, Dr. Kim held the role of past president for the Korean Strategic Marketing Association in 2017 and vice president of the Korean Marketing Management Association in 2018.
In light of his exceptional undertakings, Dr. Kim has accrued several accolades and honors throughout his impressive career. He has been presented with an Excellent Paper Award from the Korea Distribution Association in 2016, the Korea Distribution & Logistics Policy Association in 2015, and the Korean Strategic Marketing Association in 2015. He has additionally obtained a Recommending Paper Award from the Editorial Board of the Korea Distribution Association in 2014 and the Best Paper Award from the Korean Academic Association of Business Administration in 2009. Dr. Kim has further garnered an Excellent Reviewer Award from the Korean Service Marketing Association in 2012 and the Korea Distribution Association in 2014.
