In this position, she specializes in the scientific exploration of the synthesis of oxidized low-density lipoproteins and high density lipoproteins with enhanced functionality. In addition, she has also specialty in animal experiment using rat, mouse, and zebrafish and human clinical trial. Prior to this appointment, she held the position of clinical science researcher for Dept. of Medical Biotechnology, Yeungnam University from 2016 to 2017. Ms. Kim began her career as a clinical technologist from 1999 to 2013 at Yeongcheon Hospital of Yeungnam University.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Kim pursued an education at Yeungnam University, earning a Master of Science from their College of Medicine. Currently, she is concluding her studies at Dept. of Medical Biotechnology, Yeungnam University as a Doctor of Philosophy candidate under supervised by Prof. Kyung-Hyun Cho. Additionally, Ms. Kim remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise, such as the Korean Society of Lipidology and Atherosclerosis(KSoLA).
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Kim has found much success with her written works, having contributed multiple research articles to such esteemed journals as the Journal of Ginseng Research, the International Journal of Molecular Medicine, the American Journal of Physiology-Renal Physiology, the Journal of Clinical Lipidology, and the Clinical and Experimental Hypertension. In light of her exceptional undertakings, she has accrued two Best Poster Awards at the 2018 edition of Asia-Pacific CardioMetabolic Syndrome. Furthermore, Ms. Kim has been presented with the Best Poster Award from Hypertension Seoul in 2017 and the Best Poster Presentation Award from the Sixth International Congress on Lipid Metabolism & Atherosclerosis in 2017.
