A training services executive and consultant, Ms. Faller recently served as the president of Faller International Training between 2002 and 2013. An expert in social work, particularly in an international setting, one of her biggest accomplishments has included working with over 400 national professionals in experiential training programs throughout the United States. Prior to forming Faller International Training, Ms. Faller spent several years as the secretary general and CEO of Council of International Programs USA, as well as 18 years as the executive director of the Cleveland International Program and six years as a social services supervisor with the Indiana and Ohio Departments of Public Welfare in Terre Haute, IN and Cleveland, OH. Earlier in her career, she worked as a child welfare worker with the Klamath County Public Welfare Commission in Oregon, and administrative assistant with the Berea Children's Home in Berea, OH.
Ms. Faller has been very active on multiple organizations and institutions throughout her career. Most recently, she served as board chair of the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. She was one of the persons who founded the Social Work Master's Program at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, and taught as a trainer of the Ethiopian workforce grant participants at Addis Ababa University. She was a faculty associate at the University of Illinois, and an advisory council member, instructor and field instructor at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), among other roles. Ms. Faller received one of the 100 Distinguished Centennial Alumni Awards from CWRU in 2016. A longtime member of several professional organizations such as the Academy of Certified Social Workers and an honorary lifetime member of the National Fulbright Association, Ms. Faller served in various roles, including board and executive committee member with the National Association of Social Workers and as an advisory committee member for the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at CWRU. She was a presenter at The Therapeutic Justice Conference in Bucharest in 2007, Ms. Faller was also the editor and contributor of the "Ohio Children's Budget Project: A Public Policy Study" in 1975. In Eastern Europe Mrs. Faller worked with the Open Society (Soros Foundation) to set up community care for the elderly programs with other health professionals, and in 1999, as a part of a USAID grant, partnered with Tiffin University and the University of Bucharest (UB) to develop a master's level program in Community Justice Administration at UB. Mrs. Faller also taught classes at UB in Romania and at Bosporus University in Turkey.
A former member of the board of directors and chair of the anti-fracking group with the West Shore Unitarian Church and member of the church's diversity change team, Ms. Faller was also involved with the City Club of Cleveland Special Programs Committee and with the Volgograd Free Speech Forum. Married to her husband Adolph Faller (dec. 2016) since September 1959 with two children, she first studied at Illinois Wesleyan University before earning a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Illinois in 1960 and Master of Science in Social Administration at Case Western Reserve University in 1975. A licensed independent social worker, she was the recipient of a Community Criminal Justice Administration grant in Romania between 1999 and 2001. She currently serves on the board of The Carolyn Farrell Foundation and on the Governing Board of The Ohio Health Registry. She has been showcased in approximately 40 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in of American Women and Who's Who in the World.
