Dr. Erickson has worked at the University of Washington in Seattle since 1980, initially serving as an assistant from 1980 to 1986. From 1986 to 1994, he held the position of associate professor for the University of Washington. He became a full-time professor in business and management in 1994, and received his emeritus title in 2012, which he maintains to this day. Prior to this tenure, Dr. Erickson was an assistant professor of business and management at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia from 1978 to 1980.
Dr. Erickson earned a Bachelor of Science at his current institution, the University of Washington, in 1967. Dr. Erickson went on to receive a Master in Business Administration from Stanford University in 1973, where he later received a Doctor of Philosophy in 1978. Throughout his career, Dr. Erickson has also been a member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences and the American Marketing Association. Dr. Erickson has been listed in several editions of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in American Education, and Who's Who in the West.
