Supported by 45 years of practiced experience in the arts, Ms. Boday danced professionally in New York City with Leonard Fowler Ballet Company, Larry Richardson Dance Company, Pearl Lang Dance Company, Mary Anthony Dance Theatre, and Gaku Dance Company (Richard Gain, Richard Kuch, and Sophie Maslow). Additionally she danced in the St Gallen Ballet and the Zurich Ballet, both in Switzerland.
Mary Price Boday was faculty for the Harkenss Ballet in New York City as well as choreographer for the 2nd Company, a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois, ballet and modern teacher for the National Academy of the Arts, Assistant Professor of Cornish College, Assistant Professor and Director of Dance at Mercyhurst University, Artistic Director of the Illinois Ballet, Assistant Professor for Bradley University, Associate Professor for the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Arts Management at Oklahoma City University, and ballet faculty for the Oklahoma City Ballet.
Her desire to become a dancer was inspired by The Mickey Mouse Club in the fifties, and later when she saw the ballet Swan Lake with the touring Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, Ms. Boday realized her passion for the art of dance.
An expert in her field, Ms. Boday holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Oklahoma. Having been coached by the internationally acclaimed David Howard, she and Mr. Howard did twelve summer intensives teaching teachers and dancers all across the United States. In addition to her work in dance and education, she has also served as a choreographer for ballet and operas.
Ms. Boday also had the honor of writing the biography of dance pioneer, Mary Anthony, called "A Dancer's Journey: It All Began With a Lie." Additionally she wrote Volume I Teaching Notes for ballet teachers, and currently, she is working on Volume 2.
For her innumerable professional accomplishments, Ms. Boday has been recognized with the Outstanding Dancer Award through the University of Oklahoma. She was later featured in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, and Who's Who in Entertainment. Presently, Ms. Boday is a Master Teacher for Revolutionary Principles of Movement.
