PONTE VEDRA, FL, August 06, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present James D. Taylor with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, James D. Taylor celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Taylor served for 28 years in the United States Army and United States Air Force. Commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army in 1963, he rose through the ranks and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force. His service assignments included air defense artillery officer, research electronics engineer and staff engineer. In his last assignment he was the division chief for advanced Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence technologies at the Electronics System Division at Hanscom AFB, MA. After retiring in 1991 he started working as a consulting engineer and editor. Upon recognizing the lack of good sources about the new subject of Ultrawideband Radar, he organized international teams of advanced researchers to assist him in co-authoring and editing a series of four books for CRC Press. He started with Introduction to Ultrawideband Radar Systems in 1991 and most recently published Advanced Ultrawideband Radar: Signals, Targets and Applications. He has started editing a fifth book for publication in 2020.
With his days in academia behind him, Mr. Taylor currently holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the Virginia Military Institute, and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. Due to the fact that the field is always changing and improving, he affiliates himself with the IEEE, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems. For his accomplishments in engineering the Air Force awarded him the AF Commendation Medal and AF Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. His work has produced a plethora of features in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who in Science and Engineering. Looking ahead, Mr. Taylor intends to continue parlaying his knowledge of the field in his consulting role.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, James D. Taylor has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
