Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Lee pursued an education at Incheon National University, graduating with a Doctor of Science in industrial engineering. As a result of his academic efforts, he has received the Management Strategy Consultant Certificate from Sungkyunkwan University, the Management Consultant Certificate from Hanyang University, and a Co-operative Consultant Certificate from Seoul National University. Following these accomplishments, Dr. Lee was certified as a logistics consultant by the Korea Management Association Consultants, an outside director for the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a venture consultant from the Management Consulting Association and a legal administrator from the Korea M&A Association.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Dr. Lee has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He has held the role of judge for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea since 2011 as well as adjunct professor for Incheon National University since 2012. Likewise, he has contributed to the National Policy Committee for Logistics Policy, the Logistics Committee for the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Incheon Regional Human Resources Development Committee and the Korea-Singapore Logistics Cooperation Committee for the Korea International Trade Association. Dr. Lee found success with his written works as well, having penned myriad articles for such publications as the Korea Logistics Newspaper, the Korean SCM Journal, the Journal of JoongAng University, the Journal of Korean Society of Safety Management and the Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation Journal, among others.
In addition to his primary vocation, Dr. Lee remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He has maintained involvement with the Korea Cyber Terror Information Association and the Korea Management Science Society. Dr. Lee was also an active as the vice chairman of the Korea Logistics Research Association since 2008, the Korea Institute of Logistics Science and Technology since 2013, the Korean Logistics Society since 2013, and the Korea SCM Society since 2014.
In light of his exceptional undertakings, Dr. Lee has accrued several accolades throughout his impressive career. He has also received the Business Logistics Innovation Award from the Minister of Small & Medium Business Administration in 2001, the Korea Logistics Award from the Prime Minister for the Republic of Korea in 2003, the Korea Logistics Grand Prize from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea in 2004, the Korea Container Pallet Industry Award from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in 2005, and the Incheon Logistics Grand Prize from the Mayor of Incheon, Republic of Korea, in 2005. Dr. Lee was further selected for the Award on Good Businessman from the President of Korea in 2006, the Korea Logistics Medal from the Government of Korea in 2011, the Award on Excellent Labor-Management Culture and the Award on Workplace Innovation from the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea in 2013, and the Achievement Award in Superior Regulatory Reform Commission from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea in 2013.
Furthermore, Dr. Lee has obtained the Korea Logistics Grand Prize from the Korea Logistics Association, the Award on Preventing Traffic Accidents from the Korea Freight Association in 2002, the Industry Cooperation Award from the Federation of Korean Industries in 2002, the Korean Logistics Award from the Korean Logistics Society in 2003 and the Logistics Person Award from the Korean Logistics Research Association in 2003. He also garnered the Excellent Management Award from the Federation of Korean Industries in 2003, the Korea SCM Award from the Korea SCM Society in 2004, the Grand Prize for Distribution Science from the Korean Distribution Science Society in 2004, the Academic Award from the Korea International Trade Association in 2005, and the Commerce and Industry Award from the Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2008.
