A certified elementary school teacher in the state of Wisconsin who has dedicated more than 40 years to education, Ms. Zuberbier officially retired in 1997 following five years of service at the Christa McAuliffe Elementary School in Green Bay. With a prolific career that also included teaching appointments at the Kennedy Elementary School in Green Bay, St. Paul's Lutheran School in Mount Prospect and St. John's Lutheran School in Red Bud, Ms. Zuberbier took a 10-year hiatus from teaching between teaching in the parochial schools and the public-school system to raise her three children.
Graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in 1971, Ms. Zuberbier since became active as a longtime member of the National Education Association, the Green Bay Education Association and the WEAC. She also spent time on The Social Studies Committee and the Thinking Skills Committee. Since retiring, Ms. Zuberbier has been active volunteering as a general educational development/high school equivalency diploma teacher at the Saint Croix County Jail in Hudson, Wis. in 2000.
Named Elementary Teacher of the Year in Green Bay in 1991, Ms. Zuberbier has more recently been recognized as Volunteer of the Year by the Saint Croix County Jail in 2001. She has been included in every edition of Who's Who in America since 2008, as well as approximately 15 more editions of Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who in the World. In her free time, Ms. Zuberbier enjoys playing the piano and reading.
