With more than 45 years of professional experience, Mr. Westbay retired in 1995, having been the owner and operator of the Westbay Leasing Company, Westbay Farms, and Westbay Equipment Company since 1959. In addition to his primary roles, he was the owner of Dealer Leasing Seminars, the president of the North America Dealer Advisory Council of the Versatile Manufacturing Company, and he served on the National Dealer Council. Earlier in his career, Mr. Westbay was a store manager for the International Harvester Company from 1957 to 1958, having initially served with the company in the parts department in 1949.
Mr. Westbay began his career as a student at the University of Illinois, completing coursework in 1949. An active member of his community, he has been a member of the Illinois Retail Farm Equipment Association and as chair of the Knox County chapter of the Illinois Future Farmers of America Foundation. A licensed private pilot, he has also been affiliated with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Galesburg Pilots Association. Mr. Westbay is a member of the Knox County YMCA and the Freemasons, and he has served on the board of directors of Galesburg Long Term Care and as president of the board of directors of Florida Living Options.
Throughout his career, Mr. Westbay has been recognized for his contributions, having been named among the top nine dealerships by International Harvester. The Future Farmers of America gave him an Honorary Chapter Farmer's Award and the Good Year Conservation Award of Merit. Mr. Westbay has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who in Finance and Industry.
