Knowing Mr. Versluis wanted to become a teacher since his youth, teaching has been in his blood for his entire life.
An expert in his field, Mr. Versluis holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from Western State Colorado University. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he affiliated himself with a number of organizations, including the National University of Continuing Education, and the Colorado and National Education Associations, and the Mountain-Plains Adult Education Association. From 1955 to 1959, Mr. Versluis completed service with the United States Air Force, rising to the rank of sergeant.
Throughout his career, Mr. Versluis has been recognized for his professional accomplishments, earning features in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in America. In 1983, he obtained an Aerospace Education Achievement Award. He served as captain in the Civil Air Patrol with the United States Air Force Auxiliary.
