With more than 20 years of professional experience, Ms. Schoff served as a soldering, assembly and test technician for Silent Call Communications making warning alarm systems for hearing and vision impaired individuals from 2006 to 2018. Previously, she served AJ Miles Company from 1998 to 2006, as assistant procurement and operations manager and as a home healthcare provider. Prior to obtaining these roles, she was a subsidiary teacher with the Rochester School District and the Clarkston School District from 1982 to 1998, and with MC Aerospace Assembly and Testing Military Aircraft Parts from 1996 to 1998. She also served as a 4th and 5th grade teacher with the Oakland Intermediate School District from 1991 to 1996 and with the Highland Hills Christian School from 1987 to 1991. From 1982 to 1991 and again from 1996 to 1998, Ms. Schoff was a subsidiary teacher with the Waterford School District, also serving as a substitute teacher with the district from 1984 to 1987.
Ms. Schoff was inspired to pursue a career in education by a teacher she had who encouraged her and helped her to develop her skills. She began her career as a student at William Tyndale College, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in social studies in 1971. She later joined the University of Michigan, earning a teaching certification in the state of Michigan. Ms. Schoff specializes in social studies, language arts, special needs children, and K-8 education.
A respected voice in her field, Ms. Schoff has been an active leader in her community. She was the chief coordinator of the Pioneer Girls at Waterford Community Church, and an Awana leader and assistant of the Cubbie Program. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her contributions, including having been featured in numerous editions of Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in the Media and Communication. In her free time, Ms. Schoff enjoys baseball, basketball, volleyball, ventriloquism, and painting.
