Over the course of her career, she has parlayed her lifelong love of art to students at Georgian Court University, Marymount Manhattan College, Hollins College, Baruch College, Brooklyn College, Parsons School of Design and Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey. Additionally, she has had the honor of exhibiting her work in shows and galleries all over New York. "Night & Day, Rye & Riverdale, Playland & Park," "Celebrating Spirituality" and "Tunisian Fragments: Photographs and Collages" are just some of the exhibits she has showcased during her years in the field.
An expert in her field, Dr. Viola holds a Bachelor of Arts in fine arts from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, a Master of Arts in art history from New York University, and a Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy in art history from The City University of New York. Throughout her career, she has been honored many times for her professional accomplishments, winning the Dermot Gale Award for Best Photograph at the New Rochelle Art Association's 2018 spring exhibit. She has also received fellowships through the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA, and The Henry Luce Foundation. In the near future, Dr. Viola intends to continue parlaying her love of art to her students, as well as continuing to exhibit her work.
