Mary Johnson has made it a point to give back to those less fortunate through The Rose Marie Princ Charitable Foundation, where she serves as the chief executive officer.
LAS VEGAS, NV, September 12, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Mary Johnson with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mary Johnson celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After accruing more than 20 years of professional experience, Ms. Johnson retired from the field of education in 1993. A certified teacher in Missouri and Illinois, she worked as a teacher with Hazelwood School District for the duration of her career. However, for a short period of time, she also lent her expertise to the district as a positive intervention teacher. Though her career boasts a number of highlights, the ones that stand out the most have been the smiles of her students and finding out what they've grown up to become after they have left her classroom. Since her retirement, she has made it a point to give back to those less fortunate through The Rose Marie Princ Charitable Foundation, where she serves as the chief executive officer, the scholarship committee of the Clark County School District, the Bailey Scholarship Fund through the University of Illinois, The Children's Inn, Special Love, Inc., and various committees on the Townsend PTA.
Prior to starting in the field, Ms. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from the University of Illinois and a Master of Arts from Maryville University. She attended a study skill seminar at Harvard University during that time, and upon graduating with her master's degree, she pursued postgraduate coursework with Southern Illinois University.
Throughout her career, Ms. Johnson has utilized her knowledge to author a book in the field called "Secret Study Skills for Third Graders," published in 1990. For her excellence in education, she won the Townsend Teacher of the Year Award, the Edmund J. James Scholarship and the Fred S. Bailey Scholarship. In addition, she has been featured in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who of American Women. Looking ahead, Ms. Johnson intends to continue enjoying her retirement while giving back to others.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Mary Johnson has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
