With more than 40 years of legal experience behind him, Mr. Collin serves as a partner with Thompson Hine LLP, where he started as an associate in 1975. A senior member of the firm's antitrust, competition and trade regulation practice, his expertise includes antitrust, dealer termination and unfair competition litigation. He has tried cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States and argued appeals in the federal courts of appeals and state supreme courts. He also advises clients on antitrust and distribution matters, including compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in the international sale of goods through dealers, distributors or agents. Prior to joining Thompson Hine, Mr. Collin was a law clerk to Judge Myron Bright on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
An expert in the field, Mr. Collin holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Arts from Harvard University, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Georgetown University. He has been active in the Section of Antitrust Law of the American Bar Association, serving as chair or vice-chair of various committees. Mr. Collin has contributed to the literature in his field and is the author of "Ohio Business Competition Law" (1994) and principal editor for American Bar Association publications on antitrust law, including "Antitrust Law and Economics of Product Distribution" (2006).
A Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated attorney, Mr. Collin has been recognized over the years in multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, and Who's Who in the Midwest.
