BROOKLYN, NY, September 26, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Lester Rutsky with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Rutsky celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
When the United States was coming out of the Great Depression, Mr. Rutsky looked for a job to make money and the garment district had a strong union that was able to advance workers and give medical insurance. In addition to his years of dedicated work to the field of textiles, he contributed many articles to professional journals, columns to newspapers, and most importantly poems, earning him a Paul Elliot Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of Michigan in 1982 and First Place in the Poetry Clubs of Indiana of the Indiana State Poetry Society. He also co-wrote the song "You're Gonna Be Sorry," which earned him a rightful place in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He was an accomplished musician, versed in violin and piano, and studied viola at the Stuyvesant House and Christadora House in the 1930s.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Lester Rutsky has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
