In 1990, he graduated from the University of Chicago with a Doctor of Jurisprudence. After obtaining his degrees, Mr. Chehi was admitted to practice law in Delaware and Pennsylvania by numerous federal districts and appeals court as well as the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Chehi began his career as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard L. Nygaard in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr. Chehi associated with the international law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, and Flom LLP in its Wilmington, Delaware office, beginning in 1992. In 2000, Mr. Chehi joined the partnership of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in its corporate restructuring practice group.
Mr. Chehi is a contributing editor of the Chambers Global Practice Guide on Insolvency. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court, the Federal Bar Association, the Turnaround Management Association, the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Profiles, and the Delaware Bar Association. Mr. Chehi has further been selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in the World.
