Assisting clients with their structural, as well as civil engineering needs and drawings, Mr. Mise has built a solid reputation for excellence where he enjoys the pleasure of working mostly with both repeat clients and referrals.
Between 1992 and 2012, Mr. Mise simultaneously owned and operated Jesse S. Mise, P.E., in Knoxville where he did consulting work exclusively. He was also the chief engineer at James Thomas Engineering for the same length of time. Prior to forming A Thru Z Service Inc., Mr. Mise notably devoted a total of 24 years as a structural engineer between four different companies in Tennessee and Connecticut, beginning in 1967. He was also a structural designer for various architectural and engineering firms between 1964 and 1967 and a road designer for the Virginia Department Highways in Petersburg, VA, between 1958 and 1964.
Mr. Mise is a longstanding member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He has also been locally active as a member of the Patriots of East Tennessee since 1996. Mr. Mise is the author of "Engineers Guide to Unusual Opportunities," published in 1972.
One of Mr. Mise's proudest achievements was working on a government building, the VA Clinic, in 2005. In charge of designing the three-story hospital, it was both a challenging and rewarding time in his career. Notably, Mr. Mise has been cited in more than 50 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the South and Southwest.
