Art Eckstat was honored as a Contributor to Aviation History at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.

Dr. Eckstat began his career as a test engineer with the Continental Aviation & Engineering Corp. in Detroit, Michigan from 1966 to 1968. After this opportunity, he worked as an engineering specialist and manager at AlliedSignal, now Honeywell International Inc., in Phoenix, Arizona from 1968 to 1998. During this time, Dr. Eckstat was owner and gunsmith at Accurate Firearms Repair in Phoenix, Arizona from 1979 to 1992.
From 1996 to 2000, Dr. Eckstat served as vice president of training and organization development for Personal Bridges to Teamwork in Mesa, Arizona. He continued his career with Personal Bridges to Teamwork from 2000 to 2014 as president. He founded and held the position of president of GTS Global Turbine Specialists from 1998 to 2018. Dr. Eckstat has been active as a products liability engineering consultant and expert witness since 2000 and founded Personal Injury Lawsuits Consultant in Mesa, Arizona in 2015.
Dr. Eckstat received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Detroit Institute of Technology in 1968. Following this accomplishment, he earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in Arizona in 1985 and Doctor of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2002. He has held his federal firearms license from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives of the United States Department of Justice since 1980. He held his Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator certificate from the National Association of Fire Investigators, International from 2006 to 2016. Dr. Eckstat has been certified as continuing legal education faculty by the Arizona State Bar since 2015.
As part of and in addition to his career, Dr. Eckstat has given a number of continuing legal education presentations including "How to Avoid Losing Cases and Get Winners" and "Will That Product Liability Personal Injury Claim Prevail?" He has also authored the e-book "7 Keys to Winning More Cases for More Money!" and several articles such as "Sex and Gender Differences in Leadership" in 1995, "Mixed-Sex Team Communication: Avoiding Negative Conflict" in 1998 and "Know the How and the Why of an Injury Before you File or Dispute a Claim" in 2018. Dr. Eckstat also volunteered his services as a firearms safety instructor with a number of establishments from 1970 to 2002. He has also served as an Arizona state certified defensive driving instructor since 2000.
Dr. Eckstat is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Society of Automotive Engineers International, the National Rifle Association and Sigma Beta Delta. He is also a former member of the American Gunsmithing Association, the National Association of Fire Investigators and the Academy of Management. In 1997, Dr. Eckstat was honored as a Contributor to Aviation History at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum. Dr. Eckstat has previously been selected for inclusion in the 35th edition of Who's Who in Finance and Business, the 9th edition of Who's Who in Science and Engineering and multiple editions of Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.
