Ms. Rennecker began her career as a teacher of art and English in Orrville Middle School from 1959 to 1962. After this opportunity, she worked as a substitute teacher at the Wayne County School District from 1964 to 1979. She served as a teacher of vocational home economics at Chippewa Local Schools in Doylestown, Ohio in 1980 as well as at the Rittman Exempted Village Schools in Ohio from 1980 to 1986. Ms. Rennecker concluded her career as a teacher of vocational home economics for Greene Local Schools in Smithville, Ohio from 1986 to 1999.
Prior to embarking on her professional path, Ms. Rennecker received her Bachelor of Science in education from Manchester University in 1959. Following this accomplishment, she completed postgraduate coursework at Ashland University. In the years since, she has been certified as a home economics teacher by the state of Ohio. Ms. Rennecker chose a career in education because of her aunt, a teacher who would share stories of things that would happen in her classroom.
Ms. Rennecker served as a VLM with Wayne County Board of Elections for fifteen years. She was a 4-H Advisor for 10 years and served as a 4-H Judge for many years. She was Treasurer of Paradise Church of the Brethren for 20 years and played the piano and organ for Paradise Church for 35 years. She presently plays in a Hand Bell and Chime Choir in Smithville Brethren Church.
Additionally, Ms. Rennecker has been a life member of the Smithville Community Historical Society and the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She is a member of the Wayne County Farm Bureau Council #6, and the Wayne County Retired Teachers Association. She has been previously involved with the Ohio Education Association, the National Education Association, the Green Local Teachers Association, and the Alpha Theta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. She also has been affiliated with the (Wayne County Home Economics Association) Wayne County Association of Family and Consumer Science, where she held positions of secretary vice president and president. Ms. Rennecker has previously been selected for inclusion in the 24th edition of Who's Who in the Midwest.
