Located in Coaldale, Pa., Saint Luke's provides advanced inpatient and outpatient services with full access to the latest treatments and technologies. Joining St. Luke's as a staff nurse in the intensive care unit and coronary care unit in 1992, she previously worked as a medical/surgical staff nurse between 1978 and 1986 and as a staff nurse in the intensive care unit and coronary care unit at Coaldale State Hospital between 1986 and 1992. Specializing in coronary artery disease, strokes and heart attack patients, Ms. Hager recently celebrated her 40th year in the medical field.
Throughout her career in nursing, Ms. Hager has taught advanced cardiac life support, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric advanced life support. She has also been a longtime member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the Emergency Nurses Association.
Born in Palmerton, Pa., Ms. Hager later earned a diploma at Hazleton State Hospital in Hazleton, Pa. in 1978. Soon after, she became registered as a critical care nurse. Ms. Hager has notably been cited in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Nursing, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who Among Human Service Professionals.
