Over the years, Mr. Packer has also worked as a trustee of clients' retirement plans, manager of a private charitable foundation, and as a bank director. He is presently in the process of retiring from his professional career.
In addition to his professional work, Mr. Packer has given back to his community through a number of organizations, including six reading and study groups, in particular 28 years facilitating a classic literature reading group called Heavy Culture; a Shakespearian Readers Circle, teacher of Torah, serving as a local fundraiser for the United Jewish Appeal.
In addition to his career, Mr. Packer makes it a point to give back to his community through a plethora of organizations, including the Bernard M. and Audrey Jaffe Foundation, God's Fabrication and the Congregation Beth Israel. Formerly, he has lent his services to the United Jewish Appeal, served on the Bellingham Arts Commission, and nine years on the Bellingham Planning and Development Commission, including four years as chair thereof. Mr. Packer has been recognized with the Mayor's Arts Award from the city of Bellingham, an eight-gallon donor pin from the American Red Cross, and both a Community Impact Award (2014) and Champion of Youth Award (2018) from the Boys and Girls Club of Whatcom County, Washington.
For excellence in his field, he has been featured in numerous professional publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in Emerging Leaders in America and Who's Who in American Law.
