Wenger with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Wenger celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Ms. Wenger began her career as a high school reading specialist in 1970 with Cincinnati Public Schools. While at Western Hills High School she was recognized for developing a noteworthy Right to Read Project in 1972. During the interim of 1978 to 1981, she was Project Director for Minimum Competencies in Writing, then Director of Sex Desegregation from 1981 to 1982. While an Associate in central office from 1984 to 1987, she directed Essential Skills Assessment for Writing for Cincinnati Public Schools as a precursor to the initiation of the Ohio Proficiency Tests. In the time between 1989 and 1997, Ms. Wenger served as an assistant principal in multiple schools. Additionally, she presided as an elementary principal from 1997 to 2002. Ms. Wenger considers one highlight of her career to be when she testified on behalf of one of her students to seek a reduced legal sentence for a crime he had committed, and then facilitated his accomplishment of graduation. This occurred during the duration where she was an Occupational Work Experience Coordinator, striving to support at risk pupils in transition to the world of employment. After retirement from Cincinnati Public Schools in 2002, she joined the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education, from 2005 through 2017 as an instructor of the Orton-Gillingham Methodology for educators interested in acquiring multi-sensory skills for reading instruction. Currently, Ms. Wenger is rendering tutorial assistance for students through Academic Tutoring, LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her lifelong goal has been to support students in achieving their fullest potential.

Prior to embarking on her career, Ms. Wenger received a Bachelor of Education from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio in 1969. Following the summer of 1969 in Paris, France at the Alliance Francaise, she earned a Master of Education degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1970. Between 1972 and 1982, she completed post-graduate coursework toward achievement of multiple certifications at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Additional post-graduate studies were completed at the College of Mt. St. Joseph, Ashland University and Kent State University in Ohio, plus Johnson State University in Vermont from 1981 through 1989. Ms. Wenger's permanent certifications have included the following: reading specialist/K-12, French and English/7-12, elementary principal K-8, and reading supervisor K-12.

Furthermore, Ms. Wenger has been a private tutor since 1971 and a volunteer ambassador for the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport since 2008. Past volunteer activities have been with the Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Symphony, Taft Museum and Cincinnati Opera. She was formerly a member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals and Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and Kappa Delta Pi, where she served as historian and then president at the University of Cincinnati during 1982 and 1985. She was the recipient of the Betty Jane Hull Scholarship in 1968 and a full scholarship for her master's degree in 1969-1970. Her interests remain in the areas of volunteering, travel and dogs. Ms. Wenger has been previously selected for inclusion in the third edition of Who's Who in American Education and the 15th and 16th editions of Who's Who of American Women.
