Prior to his retirement, he was a service engineer in the Electrical Systems Installation Group and a member of customer support for the Boeing Company's Southern California Commercial Aviation Services Division from 2014 to 2016, having been a lead engineer in the Electrical Systems Installation group from 1983 to 2014. Earlier in his career, Mr. Elliott was a design engineer with the Douglas Aircraft Company from 1978 to 1982.
Mr. Elliott was inspired to pursue a career in the field from an early age, having always had an interest in airplanes and aviation. He began his career with the United States Navy, serving from 1969 to 1973. He subsequently pursued an education with Cerritos College, obtaining an Associate of Arts in 1974. Mr. Elliott concluded his studies with California State University, Long Beach, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1978.
A respected leader in the field, Mr. Elliott has been affiliated with a number of organizations in his community. He is a member of the Southern California Professional Engineering Association, the Boeing Company Tennis Club, the Boeing Company Surf Club and the Boeing Company Management Club. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, sailing, playing guitar, painting, remote-control gliders, hiking, and traveling.
Throughout his career, Mr. Elliott has been recognized for his accomplishments. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
