Beginning her career as a teacher of business and mathematics classes in the Alamogordo, Las Cruces and Omaha Public Schools, Ms. Miller-Bell dedicated the early portion of her professional life to education. It was after serving as a teacher and director of the Evelyn Wood Reading Dynamics program at Southern New Mexico Institute that she happened to meet a registered representative with experience in the financial industry. That chance encounter opened up a world of new opportunities for Ms. Miller-Bell, who became interested in the market and investments, and endeavored to do all she could to learn about the industry.

Beginning in 1977, she worked as a broker for Financial Design Corporation, which was changed to Bell, Inc., in 1997, and has since served as owner/president of the company. Having become interested in bookkeeping while in high school, she was grateful to finally achieve her dream of owning a business and making a life of which she could be proud.
In order to remain aware of the latest developments in her industry, Ms. Miller-Bell maintains affiliation with the National Association of Realtors, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Associations, for which she served as her local chapter's vice president of programs. She is also a member of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants, the Financial Planning Association, the Southwest New Mexico Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the Las Cruces Association of Realtors.
In recognition of her career accomplishments, Ms. Miller-Bell received the Top Sales Person Award from Investment Trust and Assurance. She was named an Outstanding Young Woman of New Mexico in 1970. She has also been included in Who's Who in America consistently since 1997 and was featured in the 1996-1997 edition of Who's Who Finance and Industry. As part of her civic duties, Ms. Miler-Bell was the vice president of programs for the Dona Ana County Federation of Republican Women. She was also an official Goodwill Ambassador for the U.S. Savings Bond Division of the U.S. Treasury – Mrs. Miller-Bell Savings Bonds, 1968-1970.
