An accomplished listee, Ms. Rodriguez celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Since 2017, Ms. Rodriguez has been an instructional coach in the head start department of SBBC. Prior to accepting this position, she served as a media specialist in Tamarac Elementary School in Tamarac, FL, from 2004 to 2017. Ms. Rodriguez has always loved learning. Her aunt, Elsie DeJesus, was a teacher and inspired her to delve into teaching, giving children the skills to be successful in life. She took a break from school after high school when she married her husband, Jorge L. Rodriguez, who was in the military. During those 21 years, they moved from Puerto Rico to the United States, where she had to learn English. She decided to pursue a formal education at Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, GA, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in early childhood education, cum laude, in 1999.
She continued her studies and earned a Master of Science in library and information sciences from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, in 2005. Ultimately, she earned a Master of Arts in educational leadership from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, in 2014. Beyond these degrees, she became a certified teacher by the Florida Department of Education in 2000 and earned instructional coaching credentials from NTC in 2014.
From 2009 to 2011, Ms. Rodriguez served as a children's book reviewer for the School Library Journal in New York City. Civically, she was involved with the Red Cross and spent time placing high school students in volunteering opportunities at local hospitals. For all of her accomplishments throughout her career, she was named Teacher of the Year by Tamarac Elementary School in Florida in 2017 and was the recipient of the National Dean's List Award from 1996 to 1997. She has previously been featured in the 65th edition of Who's Who in America.
