She excels in her role for a number of reasons, including being multilingual; she speaks English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian and six other regional languages. At the start of her career, Ms. Zubcevic joined the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Croatia as an adviser and served for one year before lending her expertise to the Croatian news agency Hina.
Over the years, Ms. Zubcevic has also gained valuable expertise through Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia and performed different roles within the United Nations. With years of knowledge at her disposal, she has authored numerous texts such as the latest "Gateway Portals to the City: Reshaping Cities and Urban Rural Continuum Through Gateway Portals". In order to keep abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Zubcevic affiliates herself with the National Association of Professional Women and the International Society of Sustainability Professionals.
An expert in her field, Ms. Zubcevic holds a Bachelor of Science in humanities and linguistics and a Master of Science in humanities and social sciences from the University of Zagreb in Croatia. Subsequently, she earned certificates in diplomacy and counselor examination, public diplomacy and public administration including from the Harvard University. For her skill in the field, she was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for Dedicated Service to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in 2012. Looking toward the future, Ms. Zubcevic intends to continue making a difference in the field of sustainable development through her work with the United Nations.
