With more than 60 years of professional experience, Ms. Oppenheim has excelled as a soloist with a number of symphonies and orchestras around the world. She has held this position with the Heilbronner Kammer Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony, the San Antonio Symphony, the University of Texas Orchestra, the Austin Symphony, and the Amarillo Symphony. In addition to her primary roles, she has served as a pianist with cellist Dan Zollars since 1991, a private piano teacher since 1962, and a member of the Halcyon Trio from 1974 to 1977. Having performed solo and chamber music recitals, Ms. Oppenheim worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Texas from 1957 to 1959 and from 1968 to 1969.

Ms. Oppenheim began her career in the Pre-College Division of the Juilliard School, where she was a student from 1943 to 1953. She then studied at the University of Texas, obtaining a Bachelor of Music with honors in 1957, and a Master of Music in 1959. She was also a student at the American Conservatory in Fontainebleau, France, in the summers of 1956 and 1958. Ms. Oppenheim concluded her academic efforts in 1960, graduating with a Diploma in Piano from the Juilliard School in 1960.

A respected voice in her industry, Ms. Oppenheim has been an active as a leader in her community. She is a member of the San Antonio Music Teachers Association, the Texas Music Teachers Association, the Music Teachers National Association, Pi Kappa Lambda, and Sigma Alpha Iota. Ms. Oppenheim has also contributed to the board of directors of the Tuesday Musical Club.

Throughout her career, Ms. Oppenheim has been recognized for her contributions. She received First Place Awards from the G.B. Dealey Competition of the Dallas Symphony, the Dallas Morning News, Young Artist Competition of the Amarillo Symphony, and the Tuesday Musical Club Young Artist Competition. Ms. Oppenheim has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.
