She went on to work for the Rockwell International Space Systems Division as a separation systems team leader and a senior engineer specialist before serving the California Institute of Technology, working on projects such as the Constellation Level 2 Program, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and the CloudSat Spacecraft fault protection review. Ms. Morgan currently works as a flight software engineer, section 349 technical engineer and lead engineer for the California Institute of Technology Jet Propulsion Laboratory, exhibiting her unmatched skill set through work in numerous projects, including the Cassini spacecraft mission.
Ms. Morgan has authored numerous works in her field, including "Cassini Spacecraft In-Flight Fault Protection Redesign for Unexpected Regulator Malfunction," "Resolving the Difficulties Encountered by JPL Interplanetary Robotic Spacecraft in Flight" and "Protecting Against Faults in JPL Spacecraft," among others. She also wrote "Cassini Mission-to-Saturn Spacecraft Overview & CDS Preparations for End-of-Mission Proximal Orbits," which she presented at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Conference in 2015. Unparalleled in her contributions to her field, Ms. Morgan was a board member for Cal Tech/Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Stardust Spacecraft in 1997.
Demonstrating a passion for continued learning, Ms. Morgan became interested in astronomy and robotics at a young age and endeavored to pursue aerospace engineering in an effort to study the solar system. Due to her considerable professional accomplishments, she received a Certificate of Recognition from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in 2006. As her career progresses, Ms. Morgan hopes to continue her current enterprises and approach new projects.
