Mr. Koehn found further success as the former president and co-founder of Big Brothers and Sisters of Greater Des Moines, the former chair of the Des Moines Friendship Commission, and served on the board of directors for the Greater Des Moines YMCA.
An active leader in his community, Mr. Koehn excelled as the co-chair of the Des Moines Bicentennial Commission and was president and member of Rotary Club of Lincoln City, OR, as well as the president, director, and member of the board of directors for Neskowin Chamber Music Inc. A former Lincoln City, OR, Young Life Leader and Wyldelife Leader, he was formerly active as the chair of the worldwide dispute resolution committee for Lex Mundi and on its board of directors. Moreover, Mr. Koehn was a member of the board of trustees for the Lincoln City, OR, Samaritan Hospital Foundation.
Mr. Koehn began his career as a student at the University of Iowa, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1958. He continued his studies at the University of Iowa in 1963, earning a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude. Mr. Koehn was admitted to practice law in the state of Iowa, as well as before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Fifth, Eighth, and Tenth Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Likewise, Mr. Koehn was affiliated with the American Bar Association and the Iowa Bar Association. Throughout his career, he has been celebrated for his many achievements. Mr. Koehn has been featured in numerous publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the Midwest, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who in Finance and Industry.
