Mr. Hundelt earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver in 1975, following with postgraduate work at the University of Houston. Initially an agricultural commodities sale representative with James McLain company. Mr. Hundelt soon became vice president of the mechanical division of Consolidated Mechanicals and Electrical Corp., a role he fulfilled from 1976 to 1982. He also worked as Manager of Plant Operations at Normandy Osteopathic Hospitals and Facility Manager, Engineering Technician, and Voluntary Service Specialist at the VA Medical Center in St. Louis, MO, serving the latter from 1987 to 2000. Demonstrating professional versatility, Mr. Hundelt worked as a commercial/residential realtor during periods of his career.
Initially involved with mechanical engineering due to a family background in the industry, Mr. Hundelt developed an interest in electrical/mechanical engineering as his education and career progressed. He used these acquired skills in the purchase and maintenance of previously owned commercial properties. He is a current board member of the Chapter One Condo Association in Weldon Spring, Mo. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hundelt served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a combat medic and psychiatric technician in volunteered enlisted status from 1968 to 1971. Passionate about helping people, Mr. Hundelt is currently pursuing a master's degree in theology and ministry at Franciscan University and is a certified catechist. Notably, he founded the Fishers of Men, a Catholic men's ministry that focuses on evangelization and fellowship.
Due to his involvement with leadership, Mr. Hundelt was the recipient of the Competent Toastmaster Award. He has participated in past memberships with the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association, the Hospital Engineers and Maintenance Association of St. Louis, the American Society for Healthcare Engineering, the Knights of Columbus (current), and the Association of Energy Engineers. In light of his field-related accomplishments, Mr. Hundelt has been honored in such publications as Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the Midwest.
