Ms. Conway is an associate professor of sciences and nutrition at Williston State College. Located in North Dakota, she was first hired at the college in 1998. Among other courses, she teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition, Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry. Prior to joining the faculty at Williston, she served Bentley College in Waltham, MA, as a biology assistant between 1982 and 1983 and was a research assistant for South West Foundation for Biomedical Research in San Antonio, TX, between 1985 to 1988, where she focused her studies on premature baboons as human infant models.
With no plans to ever teach, Ms. Conway instead intended to exclusively conduct research in her field. Upon earning her first degree in 1974, however, she married her husband that same year and followed his career dreams before setting down in Williston upon his retirement many years later. Upon moving to Williston, the opportunity to teach a course came about at Williston State College, which she decided to pursue.
Ms. Conway has been a guest speaker on nutrition for the Cancer Support Group and for various other health organizations. She is a longtime member of the Northern Plains Sustain Agriculture Society and member and former foundation director of the Sons of Norway.
Named to Who's Who in American Junior Colleges and Who's Who Among American Teachers, Ms. Conway has also been included in the 64th and 65th editions of Who's Who in America. She has held an Associate of Science since 1972 and Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry since 1974 from the University of North Dakota. Between 1974 and 1977, she completed a graduate research teaching assistantship at Washington State University while pursuing a Master of Science in nutrition, which she completed in 1977.
Married to Bruce Conway since December 1974, Ms. Conway has three sons and five grandchildren. In her free time, she loves to work in her garden, bake and sing. Furthermore, she has been involved locally as a judge for the Little Miss and Pre-Teen Miss North Dakota Pageant in Williston.
