Ms. DeJarnatt began her career as a student at Utah State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in special education in 1994. That same year, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Utah State University. Ms. DeJarnatt has been additionally certified as a special education teacher by the Utah State Board of Education.
A leading voice in her industry, Ms. DeJarnatt has been affiliated with a number of organizations in her community. She was a member of the Utah Education Association and a former area representative for the Davis Education Association and ASCD. Moreover, Ms. DeJarnatt has been associated with many committees in the field of special education. She is currently a member of the Utah Retired School Employees Association, AARP and DAV AUX.
Throughout her career, Ms. DeJarnatt has been recognized for her achievements. She has been selected for inclusion in numerous publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women. Renowned for her work in developing transition programs for students with severe disabilities who are aged 18 to 22, Ms. DeJarnatt has also been active with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
