He represents a wide range of clients, including authors, artists and musicians and artists such as his son, John Michael, a professional musician, songwriter and animated movie producer.
Earlier in his career, he gained valuable expertise through his work as an associate with Kierr, Gainsburgh, Benjamin, Fallon & Lewis and later Baldwin & Haspel, LLC. A standout case in his career was unsuccessfully litigated before the Louisiana Supreme Court as a young attorney where the City of New Orleans temporarily imposed an inheritance tax in 1985 during a fiscal crisis. Despite the loss, he was recognized for his work in the legal community.
A member of the Louisiana State and American Bar Associations, Mr. Rouchell holds Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from Tulane University, in addition to a Master of Laws (in taxation) from New York University. He is a fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and a member of the New Orleans Estate Planning Council.
For his excellence in law, Mr. Rouchell was honored with a feature in the eighth edition of Who's Who in American Law. In his spare time, he makes it a point to give back to others through the Catholic Foundation of the Archdiocese of New Orleans and membership on the Board of Directors of St. Mary's Dominican High School and the Accounting Advisory Board of the University of New Orleans.
