Dr. Linday has been a pediatrician and private practice consultant in New York City since 1992, who has also been serving as an adjunct research scientist for the New York Institute of Basic Research of Developmental Disabilities in Staten Island, NY, since 1995. A former assistant professor of pharmacology and pediatrics and adjunct assistant of pharmacology at her alma mater, Weill Cornell Medicine at Cornell University, and former adjunct assistant professor of otolaryngology at New York Medical College, Dr. Linday has continued to teach as an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai since 2014.
The former president of Dr. Pockets, Inc., in New York City, Dr. Linday also served as the associate director of clinical research for Ayerst Laboratories in New York City and was the director of medical affairs for Knoll Pharmaceutical Company in Whippany, NJ. During her tenure in medicine, Dr. Linday also lent her expertise as a medical associate for the United Hospitals Medical Center in Newark, NJ, associate adjunct in the department of otolaryngology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City, and senior attending pediatrician at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center and Mount Sinai St. Luke's and Mount Sinai West (Roosevelt) in New York City.
Very much involved in her field, Dr. Linday was a Sam Brooke visiting professor in dietary supplements at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She was also an invited speaker for the Interamerican Association of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology's International Symposium on Pediatric Infectious Diseases in Ear, Nose and Throat in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and for the American College of Nutrition's 51st Annual Symposium on Advances in Clinical Nutrition in New York City. Hosting more than 30 presentations, Dr. Linday has contributed over 35 articles to scholarly journals as well.
Dr. Linday is an elected fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the New York Academy of Medicine. She is a longtime member of the American Federation of Clinical Research, the American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, and the Midtown North Community Council. Locally, she has served on the board of directors for 340 Owners Corporation and the Rocking Horse Nursery School in New York City, and she was a soccer and baseball coach and local softball founder and division head.
The recipient of a Women's Medical Association City of New York Mary Putnam Jacobi fellowship in 1979, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association Foundation fellowship in 1981 and St. Luke's Roosevelt Center fellowship in child/adolescent psychiatry in 1991 and 1992, Dr. Linday has been showcased in several editions of Who's Who. Included in every edition of Who's Who in America since 2013, she has also been cited in close to 20 editions of Who's Who in the East, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America since 1991. Of all her accomplishments, however, Dr. Linday noted the opportunity she had to collaborate with Dr. Michael Holick on a vitamin D biosensor at Columbia University to be the most profound.
Dr. Linday grew up in New York City, where she had the privilege of attending Hunter College High School. Upon graduation, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College in 1970, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University in 1975. She then interned and completed residency work in pediatrics and served as a clinical fellow in pediatrics cardiology at Weill Cornell Medicine at Cornell University between 1975 and 1981. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics.
