Earlier in his career, he excelled at Monmouth University as the assistant director of community relations and the director of community relations. Over the years, he has found success in the field through varying positions with Brookdale Community College, the Center for World War II Studies and Conflict Resolution, the Al Meserlin World War II Photo Gallery and the National Museum of the U.S. Army, for which he is a founding member. During his spare time, Mr. Zigo has dedicated his efforts to charitable and community endeavors through the New Jersey Alliance for Learning & Preservation of History of World War II in Asia, Brookdale Community College, the Monmouth County United Way, the Western Monmouth Chamber of Commerce and the New Jersey Professional Development Center for Early Childhood Education.
An expert in his field, Mr. Zigo earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, a Master's degree in personnel and guidance from Rider University, a diploma from the U.S. Army War College and a Master's degree in recent American diplomatic and military history from Temple University. Additionally, he is certified through the National Defense University. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Zigo is affiliated with the Eastern Community Colleges Social Science Association, the Military History Society and he Association of the U.S. Army.
Due to his outstanding work in the field, Mr. Zigo has been honored with a plethora of awards, including a Legion of Merit from the U.S. Army, a Defense Meritorious Service Medal from the U.S. Department of Defense, and a Humanitarian Award from the American Council of Diversity. He was additionally featured in several editions in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. In a career filled with highlights, he is especially proud of earning the Barringer Award, and having January 21, 2016 declared "Paul Zigo Day" in Monmouth County. Looking toward the future, Mr. Zigo intends to experience the continued success of his career.
