D. Elaine Ginosar was named Woman of the Year by the American Biographical Society in 1996 and an honoree to the Education Foundation of the American Association of University Women in 1995.

A highly esteemed educator with more than 25 years of experience, Ms. Ginosar is currently a retired teacher for the Sacramento City Unified School District, a position she has held from 1981 to 2003. Prior to this appointment, she served as mathematics leader for the Pheabe Hearst School. Ms. Ginosar earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from California State University, Northridge, in 1964 and 1977, respectively. She is certified as a teacher in both elementary, reading and learning disabilities.
A past president of the American Association of University Women and Delta Kappa Gamma, Ms. Ginosar is also a member of the California Teachers Association. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ms. Ginosar has served as president of Davis Flower Arrangers from 1993 to 1996 and again from 2005 to 2010. She is also the owner and operator of rental properties and has hosted 15 foreign students from the University of California, Davis.
Ms. Ginosar was named Woman of the Year by the American Biographical Society in 1996 and an honoree to the Education Foundation of the American Association of University Women in 1995. In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Ginosar was selected for inclusion in the 27th edition of Who's Who in the West and the sixth edition of Who's Who in American Education, as well as multiple editions of Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women. She continues active volunteer work as a retiree by transporting seniors to medical appointments and supporting various fund raisers for philanthropic organizations plus scholarships.
