Wilma Marie Springer was inducted into the International Education Hall of Fame in November 2017.

After accruing 45 years of practiced experience in education, Ms. Springer retired from her role as a teacher with Baxter Elementary School, a role she held from 1996 to 2001. Throughout her career, she worked for a number of schools, including Topeka Elementary School, Metamora Grade School, Bellflower Unified School District, Lindstrom Elementary School, Jefferson Elementary School, Woodruff Elementary and Williams Elementary School. Since her retirement, she has lent her expertise to a number of educational companies, including some of the elementary schools where she previously taught, as well as the National Assessment Educational Progress National Report Card.
A member of Toastmasters International, Ms. Springer holds a Bachelor of Arts from Goshen College and a Master of Science from Bradley University. In order to remain abreast of changes in the field, she maintains affiliation with the Bellflower and National Education Associations, as well as the California Teachers Association. Whenever she wasn't working, she also gave back to her community through the Bellflower City Council, various senatorial campaigns, the Women's Ministries of Crystal Cathedral and the People to People Ambassadors Program.
Due to her outstanding work, Ms. Springer has earned a grant through the state of California, a Cathedral Star Award from the Women's Ministries of Crystal Cathedral, the Ambassador of Zion Award, and features in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women. Additionally, she was inducted into the International Education Hall of Fame in November 2017, among other prestigious honors. Looking ahead, Ms. Springer intends to spend more time with her three children: Anita, Timothy and Mark.
