Mr. Koppe formerly spent time as a world advisor and grandmaster with Han Cha Kyo Universal Taekwondo in Wheeling, IL, from 1991 to 1996. He also honorably served in the U.S. Army under Commander-in-Chief President Ronald Wilson Reagan in the 1980s. A longtime member of the American Legion Post 207 Chicago Police, Teamsters, the University of San Francisco Alumni Association, Von Steuben, German-American Police Association, and the National Rifle Association, Mr. Koppe served his local community as a German-Greek liaison for the United Hellenic Voters of America in Addison, IL, and was a Reagan Republican supporter of tea party values and leadership of Sarah Palin.
Honored by being named a Knight of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Catholic Church in 1997, and the recipient of a Wing Chun/Jun Fan degree in the 1960s, Mr. Koppe has held a BSBA from the University of San Francisco since 1971. He not only enjoys practicing martial arts, but also loves to write and bowl in his free time. Proud father of two children and eight grandchildren, he was formerly married to Cathy Urbaniak on 9/10/97 at the Basilica of St. Hyacinth in Chicago, which was blessed by Pope John Paul II.
