In 1995 he spent a year as the Associate Director of the Office of Cooperative research at Yale University. Prior to his work at Yale, he served as managing partner of Technology Management Associates, and of the Specialty Capital Group from 1988 to 1995, as the manager of fracture research and development at Dowell Schlumberger from 1985 to 1988. He served as director of oil and gas research at Occidental Petroleum and Cities Service Oil and Gas and vice president of Cities Service Research and Development Corp., from 1983 to 1985. Dr. Leder served as the director of new ventures, and energy, exploratory and minerals research at the Occidental Research Corporation from 1976 to 1983, and as a planning associate and group leader for Exxon Research and Engineering Company from 1965 to 1976.
Dr. Leder obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Queens College, in New York City and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University in 1961. He continued his academic studies earning a Master of Science in 1963, and a Doctor of Philosophy in 1965 at Yale University.
A respected voice in his industry, Dr. Leder has been active with several organizations in his community and has been a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society. A contributor of articles published in professional journals, Dr. Leder holds several U.S. patents on a variety of chemical processes including acid gas separation technology. Throughout his career, Dr. Leder has been featured in numerous publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in Science and Engineering.
