BRAMPTON, ON, January 24, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Ahmed Muneeruddin has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With more than 40 years of industry experience, Dr. Muneeruddin has worked as a consultant for Investors Group Financial Services, Inc. since 2012. Prior to this appointment, he held the position of president of Munir System Engineering, Inc. from 2009 to 2012 as well as senior systems engineer for General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada from 2001 to 2009 and Spar Aerospace Limited from 1989 to 2001. Previously, he served Amdahl Corporation as a systems architecture manager from 1987 to 1989 and ITT Inc. as a senior software engineer, project engineer, and staff engineer from 1978 to 1987. Dr. Muneeruddin began his career as a member of the Scientific Staff for Bell-Northern Research from 1977 to 1978.
Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Muneeruddin pursued an education at Osmania University, earning a Bachelor of Engineering in electronics and communications engineering, with distinction, in 1970. He continued his academic efforts with a Master of Science in electrical engineering in 1973 at the University of Denver, concluding his studies in 1975 with a Doctor of Philosophy in electrical engineering. Following these accomplishments, Dr. Muneeruddin was certified in project management by Algonquin College in 2005.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Dr. Muneeruddin has participated in numerous endeavors in his community. He contributed to SPAR as a mentor for construction of a Martian habitat at the Canadian National Marsville from 1993 to 2000. He was named an honorary citizen of Marsville. In 2003 he successfully established the Kanata Muslim Association (KMA) as a charitable organization, which is currently building an Islamic Center of Kanata.
In 2005, he successfully launched a group of Commercial Corporations as the first Director to implement a community development project comprising 45 shareholders with assets over a million dollars. The profits distributed were over 3 times the investment after five years.
Dr. Muneeruddin's contributions were instrumental in organizing the Colorado Muslim Society in Denver, which resulted in the establishment of the Islamic Center of Denver. He was instrumental in having the City of Cambridge by-law changed to allow Muslims to build their Community Center in their International Village Project. He also brought funding from Saudi Arabia to build the Islamic Center of Cambridge, for which he served as chair of the board from 1983 to 1996. Furthermore, Dr. Muneeruddin had maintained involvement as a member of The Tau Beta Pi Association, Inc.
In light of his exceptional undertakings, Dr. Muneeruddin has accrued several accolades and honors throughout his impressive career. He was presented with the Pillar Award from the Investors Group Financial Services, Inc. in 2013, a Graduate Student Teaching Award from University of Denver from 1971 to 1975, and a Quality Award from ITT, Inc. Likewise, Dr. Muneeruddin was selected for inclusion in the International Who's Who of Professionals and is an honored member of The Stanford Who's Who Black Book.
