Additionally, he worked for such entities as the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, and the University of Dayton. In a career filled with highlights, helping pass a state law for an abuser registry in New Jersey and Ohio are among Mr. Ritchey's proudest moments.
An expert in his field, Mr. Ritchey earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Shippensburg University, a Master of Education in special education from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Science in educational administration from the University of Dayton. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he is affiliated with the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services. During his spare time, Mr. Ritchey is dedicated to charitable and community endeavors through CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
Due to his outstanding work, Mr. Ritchey has been presented with the Ray Ferguson Advocacy Award from the Arc of Ohio, the Community Star Award from Franklin County, the Service Award from the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and the Harold Hilty Humanitarian Award from United Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation Services. He has been selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
