Dr. Friedman initially pursued an education at Brown University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1971. After obtaining some experience in the field, he concluded his studies at the University of Chicago, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in Biophysics and Theoretical Biology in 1993. During his time at the University of Chicago, Dr. Friedman was an active member of the Track Club, the Bridge Club and the Chess Club.
Throughout his career, Dr. Friedman has been celebrated for his impressive contributions to the field. Dr. Friedman was the first person to publish the effects of all of the steroid hormones and hormone receptors on breast cancer, prostate cancer, and Alzheimer's disease. He has been featured in numerous publications, including Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the Media and Communication, and Who's Who in the Midwest.
