During his time with the department, he excelled in a number of roles of increasing responsibility, including as a junior landscape architect, an assistant landscape architect, the chief of professional contracts, an assistant to the director of the bureau of building design and the deputy chief professional for the contracts management section. Following these appointments, Mr. Trent contributed his expertise to Architectural Specialties before his tenure at his current company.
An expert in his field, Mr. Trent earned an Associate degree in applied science from the State University of New York at Farmingdale and a Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he is affiliated with the Metropolitan Historical Structures Association, the Poppenhusen Institute and the Municipal Engineers of the City of New York. During his spare time, he has dedicated his efforts in support of his community through the Queens Village Republican Club, where he serves as the chairman of the board of directors, the Queens Civic Congress Trust Foundation, where he holds the role of treasurer, and the Four Borough Neighborhood Preservation Alliance Foundation, where he is the president of the board of directors. Mr. Trent also held the post of the founder of the Queens' County Farm Museum, where he remains as the president to this day.
A hard-working and dedicated professional, Mr. Trent has been celebrated many times throughout his career, having been recognized as the Graduate of the Year by the State University of New York at Farmingdale Alumni Association. He has been additionally selected for inclusion in professional publications such as Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in the World.
