Earlier in his career, Mr. Gertler served as a partner with Uddo and Gertler from 1970 to 1976.
Mr. Gertler initially pursued an education at Tulane University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in 1967. He concluded his studies with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1969, also at Tulane University. Furthermore, Mr. Gertler has been admitted to practice law in the state of Louisiana, as well as before the United States District Court of the Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
A respected voice in his industry, Mr. Gertler has been active with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association of Justice, the New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Asbestos Litigation Group, and former president of the Louisiana Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Throughout his career, Mr. Gertler has been celebrated in numerous publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
