An expert in his field, Dr. Benghiat initially pursued an education at Imperial College, London, earning a Bachelor of Science. He continued his studies with a Master of Science at the University of Manchester. Dr. Benghiat concluded his academic efforts at the University of Manchester, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy.

Throughout the 80's and early 90's Dr. Benghiat designed state of the art PC Motherboards and Chipsets which were licensed to numerous corporations, including Northgate, Everex, VIA Technologies, Santa Clara Systems, Novell, Hyundai, Samsung, The Motherboard Factory, Synergistic Computers, DTK and many more. These designs dominated the first wave of the nascent PC market of that era, with untold millions of units sold worldwide, winning numerous awards & accolades.
